Another 3-4 years until things pick up enough to really hear the world without a beverage. :-) Right now it sounds like nuclear winter propagation out there... although the other night there was some activity, a few nights before even WWV on 10000 kHz was nonexistent.

Yes. It is quite dismal at the time, but at least there's some good catches here and there. Relative to the poor conditions.

There's still lots to hear, you just need to focus more on the lower frequencies. And the low solar activity means fewer solar flares that wreck the bands for days.

From Tim, K8RRT,    https://www.swpc.noaa.gov/news/solar-cycle-25-forecast-update       Time will tell.
I was asked, yet another weird question, of how I would like to be buried, when I finally bite the big one. The answer was actually pretty easy. Face-down, like a certain historical figure in the late 1980's, (I will not mention who, but some of you will get it, and that's enough.) Why??? It would be a burial that will satisfy everyone: (1) My enemies will say that it will show me where to go. (2) On the same point, I can have my enemies kiss my butt. (3) It will temporarily give someone a place to park a bicycle. See??? A WIN / WIN for everyone.

Yes. It is quite dismal at the time, but at least there's some good catches here and there. Relative to the poor conditions.

I think a lot of the differences in what people are hearing depends on their latitude. The northern tiers of states in the US probably are seeing more nuclear winter conditions right now than, say, Texas or California.

RE: Lower frequencies: when 49 meters is next to dead, and even Rebelde on 5025 is marginal compared to the way it was even 4-5 years ago, I think that decent catches are still a few years away. But then I'm farther north. For those of you farther south in the US (no idea how it's racking up right now in Europe) it will probably get better, sooner.
