COVID Watch Net
« on: March 27, 2020, 1147 UTC »
Quote
Net Name – COVID Watch Net

Pri Freq – 3.996Mhz LSB
Sec Freq – 3.993Mhz LSB (down 3Khz)
Alt Freq – 3.990Mhz LSB (down 3Khz)
Start time – 0100Z Sat 21 Mar (20 Mar Fri 2000 CDT)

All stations be prepared to relay. Any station able to relay must be in
contact with NCS or Alt NCS. As 75m is more a regional band and the
noise floor can be significant use of amplifiers is desired.

**Net Control Station (NCS) moves to Sec Freq if Pri freq is
occupied or splatter is occurring at the NCS location. In the event the
Sec freq is occupied or is unworkable continue down to Alt frequency. If
Sec freq is used start time will be 2005z and if conditions require the
Alt freq use then start time will be 2010z. With the crowded nature of
75m band don’t forget, minor adjustments in operating freq may be
required based on usage by other operators or nets.

Question: Do you know if this will be an ongoing net for the foreseeable future?

Does anyone know if this is actually happening?

I have tried listening since Chris posted. I'm 100 air miles from NYC, 40 air miles from southwest Connecticut, 30 air miles from Long Island, and 15 air miles from south central Connecticut, four of the hottest regions for the virus in the country - I have heard not a word on all three frequencies.
Tecsun H501x (broadcast received on this unless noted), Zenith T/O G500, Zenith T/O Royal 7000, Emerson AR-176, Zenith 8S154, T/O 7G605 (Bomber), Tecsun PL-600, Tecsun PL-880, Zenith 5S320, Realistic DX 160 using 40 feet of copper wire.  With apologies to Senator Gramm for his thoughts on firearms, "I have more radios than I need but not as many as I want."

Do you guy's remember an explosion east of the Ural's in Russia during the Thanksgiving-Christmas time frame? It involved a couple of biological weapons bunkers north of the Arctic Circle set up in the post Cold War roll back of weapon's of that sort. Maybe they're killing three birds, China, the States, and India, with one stone with these little blow-ups?  Vladmirich has been known to poison his enemies and then deny it with the "Sgt. Shultz Shuffle"

"I know nuvhink about it. Nuvhink at all. Scratch it, D.J. Himmler!"

That's my thought for the day. How are Al and his goats running rampant in streets?

My wife is a nurse.  I figured they would put out an alert when she collapsed of exhaustion so I could come scrape her off the floor and take her home  ;).
