I tuned into music and heard a quick female-voiced ID between songs say “Unforgettable 1430 KLO” into another classic soft rock song. The signal from this station in Odgen/Layton, Utah, was completely on top of KYKN in much-closer Keiser, Oregon. By 0728 UTC, the Oregon station was mostly on top, but the music from KLO was still audible, including “Sundown” by Gordon Lightfoot and Sinatra’s “The Way You Look Tonight.”
In addition to KYKN, a sports talk station (KCLK?) was mixing in. KLO runs 5 kW at night; distance from me is 690 miles.
