Strange (...to me) Sound 6385usb/am 0155+ 03/17/2012

strg_snd_6385u_0155utc_20120317.mp3

The "phaser" effect gets more pronounced toward the end. I'm sure someone can ID it. Just curious.

Still there as of 0206utc.

Thanks.

The sound you are hearing is a digital modem, specificaly it is STANAG 4285.

S4285 can be BPSK, QPSK, or 8PSK.with baud rates form 75 to 3600.  The vast majority is encrypted.  Sigmira can be used to demodulate the signal if it is not encrypted.
