BallSmacker Radio 6960 AM 0057 UTC 24 April 2020
« on: April 25, 2020, 0058 UTC »
Via NA5B in D.C. ...

Piano riff being repeated like an interval signal.

0100 UTC: Male announcer with ID right into "She's Like the Wind."
0104 UTC: "Dust in the Wind" by Kansas. I sense a theme.
0107 UTC: ID into "Windy" by The Association.
0110 UTC: "Winds of Change" By Scorpions. This wide AM signal's wiping out WDOG down on 6955 USB, at least via this SDR.
* * *
0119 UTC: Music's now just barely audible in LSB mode directly out here near Seattle.

Light copy but audio is there under the static at 0059.
0125 signal has gotten better but still a lot of static and not enough power to beat it out unfortunately

Weak signal at the moment.  Static levels horrendously high.
Signal improving.  Hearing Everyone Knows It's Windy.
ID and contact info at 0015 followed by Summer Breeze by Seals and Croft.
So, I guess, the theme tonight revolves around types of wind.
Signal continues to improve.
Stepped away for a bit and may have caught s/off @ 0215.
Ball Smacker Radio still going strong @ 0415 with ID and contact info.
Followed up with "Against the Wind " by Pete Seger.
Reception still a bit iffy with high static levels and ute QRM.

0108 "Wendy' by the Associations ...my kind of music of the Rock 'n' Roll era!

Great signal into Ohio...just barely coming into Alberta via SDR in Edmonton (Ve6JY's site)

Great programming !!!!
With classic ballad by Seals and Crofts from 1972 'Summer breeze"   .....after giving a ID and e-mail address for
ballsmacker@proton.com and indicated a special E-QSL

0119 Great song by the legions of music, Peter, Paul and Mary - "Blowing in the Wind"
0122 "Second wind' by Billy Joel
0144 after ID and e-mail address..'running against the wind' a Bob Sieger original
0150 'ride like the wind' by Christopher Cross

At 0155 hearing a nice signal into the VE6JY's Antenna Farm located at Lamont Alberta. S-reading of s5 to s6 signal!!
This on the 1000 foot beverage pointed to Europe
