Your moderator, even though I've come to his defense time and time and time and time again, both here any many their places, has decide to lock me out of a topic.  Apparently he has decided that Pat/Jerry is more important to his making a dollar in his publications, even though Pat/Jerrybunnboy spends most of his time slamming hobbyist/listeners.  So I'll let the garbage stink up the remnants, and spend my time elsewhere, and I encourage my good friends to do the same;

I'm the mod that locked the thread. I am not the owner of this board, and I am not the person you speak of - google my board handle, if you like.

You're in the appropriate place now, please post on.

Maybe some of my loggings were in poor taste. Maybe I posted TMI. If that's the case, all I can do is apologize and say I do learn from my mistakes and won't post anything offensive again. I'll stick to Wolverine Radio, Captain Morgain SW etc.

The lockout appeared to me to be done because the posting was in a loggings forum and it had gone beyond simply logging a station or contributing to the logging. Am I right?

Zackers,

Another moderator locked the thread because it morphed into a discussion of the transmission, which wasn't appropriate for the loggings board.

You did nothing wrong by posting a logging of a station that you heard. That's what the board is for. There's no censorship on this forum as to what stations may or may not be logged. If you heard it, and it was a pirate, feel free to log it, if you wish. That let's others know what is on the air, and they can tune in if they wish.

I think discussing the content of pirate radio shows is also appropriate, but on a board other than the loggings board. Either this one (General), or we can create a special board if others think that is appropriate. I would suggest that the discussions should not be allowed to devolve into flame wars. Obviously that may prove difficult with programs that are incendiary by nature, and created with the sole purpose of offending others. Sadly there's a small handful of stations that seem to exist only for that purpose.

There's a few people who think listeners should not be allowed to critique pirate radio programming (other than saying it was fabulous and had an SIO of 555). That's ridiculous. It's the same as saying that someone shouldn't be able to critique a movie or a record album.  It's hilariously ironic that the first thing someone who runs a station claiming to be about free speech wants to do is stop people from expressing their opinions. If your ego is too easily bruised by the risk of less than stellar reviews for your shows, perhaps pirate radio isn't the right hobby for you.

Thanks Chris. I've immensely enjoyed most of the pirate radio broadcasts I've listened to. There are some really creative individuals out there!

I just wish we could all get along.
