Pee Wee 6925 USB 0205 UTC 8 June 2020
« on: June 08, 2020, 0207 UTC »
Loud signal with blues music, heard via NA5B near D.C.

0208 UTC: SSTV, a bit of CW, and then blues song "Mistaken" by Soupbone.
0216 UTC: SSTV, a CW ID, and then "Cryin' Won't Help You" by Emil & the Ecstatics.
0222 UTC: CW ID as new song started.
0226 UTC: SSTV.
0228 UTC: "Treat Me Right" by Buck & Evans. I've been listening via the D.C. SDR, but the signal's now rising to audible levels here on my radio in Washington state. In addition to the music, I can hear the CW ID at 0230 UTC.
0232 UTC: SSTV.

Thanks for the blues, Pee Wee!

Good signal here on my new Tecsun PL-880, video of a portion I heard...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3KmbpG3Lnkg

Haven't decoded the SSTV yet.

Not too happy with this new radio, out of the box the main tuning rotary encoder was not working, opened it up and resat the plug for it's tiny PCB and then it started working, still slightly erratic though. Kind of sucks to buy a radio for $160 and have to open it up to fix it when it's new, but no complaints now. God damn Chinese QC.

First pirate I picked up on it though, and performance is almost as good as my DX398. 8)
I'm not saying aliens are in the radio, but aliens definitely are in the radio.
