« on: April 14, 2012, 0125 UTC »
First noted at 1:25 UTC, about an S5.

1:25 "Heart of a Coal Mining Town" banjo tune, sorry can't ID
1:27 Mandolin and banjo very fast breakdowns, wonder who this is?
1:29 Station ID "Radio Appalachia, the Free Voice of the Ohio Valley, broadcasting from high above Moundsville, West Virginia"
1:33 "Rollin In My Sweet Baby's Arms" don't know artist
1:44 Another station ID

Nice change of pace, in terms of music styles.

Radio Appalacia, 0131+, 4/14/12.  Bluegrass, including a live recording with "Roll'in in my sweet baby's arms" and a couple of other classics. 0144 ID sequence, "Gone, gone, gone"; after 0204 gospel section with " May the circle be unbroken", "The old rugged cross" & " Nearer my God to thee"

Abruptly off 0218.

Fair to poor, with fading.

Slowly drifted down to 6934.8

Radio Appalachia, 6935.0am, 4-14-12, SINPO 34342
Nice S7 signal but pretty noisy here in Chicagoland. Great to hear RA again with a nice signal.
Don't know any of these songs, just a few lyrics here and there.

0205z - "I miss my mother" "bye and bye".
0208z - "you're my trophy"
0211z - Oh Lord Let it Be
0215z - God Bless America Again
0218z - off

Never caught an ID, but nice signal here from Radio Appalachia ID'd by others.

SDR Recording log here, signed on at 0118 UTC with banjo music, song about coal mining in West Virginia.

Mostly an S9 signal, with a bit of static from t-storms.
