6925 AM Capt Morgan 02:42z 4-22-2012
« on: April 22, 2012, 0242 UTC »
Freq is about 6924.9 kHz ... not terribly strong ...

Local WSPR xmtr is desensing 6925 kHz rcvr too when it comes on ....

Pretty good sounding signal, but sometimes buried in QRN at this locale ...

02:59z Freq closer to 6924.8 kHz now ...

I'll add Capt Morgan to the title; I just heard an op/voice, but too much QRN to make out specifics ... TNX

Too cold to use the wire on the porch tonight so working off the whip inside. Still getting Capt Morgan with deep fading. Peaks to S-4 but often fades below noise. Able to catch bits of songs and just caught a clear ID at 0308.

Killer signal here. The audio sounds a little overdriven, which is unusual for the Cap.

Peaked briefly around 0320z enough to copy Hendrix "All Along the Watchtower."  If this is Captain Morgan, it's the best I've heard him in awhile on my own receiver and indoor antenna.
