Weak signal, sometimes fading up above the noise. Signal improving & I'm hearing a lot of '50s/'60s B movie-type sounds & dialogue.

I remember when Radio Rumbos used 4970 kHz. Too bad these stations are gone, but I'm glad to see people making good use of the frequency

Finally picked up around 0140.  Difficult copy because of static.
Around 0148 man singing about "brave new world."
Man talking between music but unable to understand what is being said.
Lost station in the muck at 0205.

Weak signal, but audible due to no QRM and minimal fading. Probably an S5 here in Washington, D.C. suburbs.

0118 Radio Nova Station IDs in phone and CW

Music and bits of spoken word from a 1978 musical version of H.G. Wells' War of the Worlds. One track is called "Spirit of Man," another is called ""Brave New World," another is "The Red Weed." Some of the spoken word bits are apparently the voice of Richard Burton.

0212 Radio Nova Station IDs in (YL synthesized) phone and CW. radionovausa2020@gmail.com E-mail addy. Another phone ID (OM human) and SSTV image of the Jeff Wayne album cover.

0215 OFF

Thanks for the program!
