Icom R75 FM
« on: November 10, 2020, 1845 UTC »
Just getting started. Lots to learn. Bought a R75 on Ebay and it works nicely with 60 foot of old speaker wire as an antenna. Will improve on antenna soon.

So, since the FM mode on my R75 does not mean I can listen to FM Stereo (oh silly me!) what is that mode usefull for on my R75? Thanks for any help.

There's FM activity on the 10 meter and 6 meter ham bands, and the radio covers low-band VHF communications, which is primarily narrow FM mode.

If you like the radio already, just wait until you can get an outside antenna! Enjoy...
