Just heard an interview with CBC's head of transmission assets. He says they would like to sell the facility as a going concern but is not optimistic given the sad state of shortwave broadcasting world wide.

Could be a pretty interesting yard sale...

Probably the land will end up as a wind farm.

Someone should start a fund for the purpose of WA1HLR acquiring this.

I had always planned a tour there, while visiting the wife's family.

Now it'll never happen :'(
