Caught a dasher tonight with a bit of a whoop, I guess power supply sag. 0420Z, VE7AV SDR, Prince George, BC (more southern SDR's at their user limits).

Have a screencap, but can't see how to add it?

I tried listening for it but some obnoxious OTHR or something was plastering 8 MHz just now

Also try checking 8138.8/2 = 4069.4 to see if you heard a second harmonic on 8 MHz.

Thanks Chris! LOL, my antivirus had a fit when I landed on Imgur's page. Someone laid a landmine....

Jim - Yep, I thought of a 2nd harmonic, alas all I found was DW and Windy on 40xx range on the SDR's that weren't all full. Possible that it was just under the QRN - it was very noisy last night below 40M.

I've heard this one off and on now for a week. No corresponding beacon at F/2 on several SDR's.

Am I missing one, guys?

I believe I may have run across this one this evening while tuning around 8 MHz. Fair signal with moderate fading. Went down to the area of 4069.4 on the SDR and Icom R8500 with different antenna and nothing heard but I also have a higher noise floor there due to DSL noise. 8138.85 KHz 11MAR24 02:29z Airspy HF+ Discovery 60ft SE/NW longwire.

I am hearing 4069.43 at home and also looked on KFS Kiwi and I can hear both 4069.43 and the second harmonic at 8138.86
