Thanks Skeezix for the heads up on this one.

Was able to pull out CFAJ from under 50kw blowtorch WHKW in
Cleveland on the same freq.  There was no nulling the OH station
possible as it is pretty much between me and the Canadian.
The only thing in my favor is that WHKW sends most of its signal
north and south away from me (in fact, it is barely audible here
daytime even though it's just across the Lake from me here in MI).

Heard music under WHKW and got lucky and was able to catch
CFAJ ID at about 0915Z.

Otherwise, 1220 is just a jumble hr at night.
There was a third station way, way down in the mix but WHKW and now
CFAJ are the only 1220 kc  stations in my logbook.

1220 is a jumble at night here and all static during the day. Interesting things happen at grayline in the morning & evenings (which is why CFAJ popped in).

We used to have a station locally here on 1220, KLBB. But they went dark a couple of years ago when they lost their antenna site. They've been transmitting NOAA weather radio from another site with 20W into a 70' longwire. I can't pick it up where I live. On occasion when I went to the area over there I could barely hear it, but haven't heard it for a while. No idea what the future holds for them. Their latest STA expired May 3, 2021.
