Another WHAS maintenance outage
« on: April 15, 2021, 0118 UTC »
840 WHAS's Facebook page says they will go off the air at 11 PM EDT tonight (0300 UTC 15 April) for "several hours" of maintenance. A great chance to DX the frequency, especially for people like me who are only 80 miles from their transmitter.

Thanks for the heads-up.  Did you hear anything good?  KVJY heard here (weak) under heavy slop from my local on 850.  Not much else noted last night.

Hey All.

FWIW, WHAS was fair to good but also  up and down here last night.

QRM from local  band bully on 850 despite countermeasures ( 50 Kw at 10 mi- I am also  in gain portion of pattern).  Not sure how much else I would hear on 840 other than 'HAS anyways  due to fairly bad monkey chatter from 850.

A night of "typical" reception for 'HAS.
