WSAN 1470 am Allentown, PA 1020 utc 5 Sep 2021
« on: September 05, 2021, 1030 UTC »

Fair reception, mostly underneath nearby station but sometimes above.  Was listening to my usual Sunday morning oldies program on WBOM 1470 am Meriden, CT (about 10 miles from me) when another station was occasionally overpowering it.  A little research and stream matching revealed it to be an entirely podcast station (WSAN) in Allentown, PA about 200 miles to the southwest.  WBOM at 2500 watts, WSAN at 5000 watts.  Sun rise here today 1021 utc.

WSAN reception
1020 Two OM's discussing fears/anxieties - flying, water
1026 Two OM's continue with how to handle fears
1030 OM's faint, can only be heard when there are episodes of no sound on WBOM
Tecsun H501x (broadcast received on this unless noted), Zenith T/O G500, Zenith T/O Royal 7000, Emerson AR-176, Zenith 8S154, T/O 7G605 (Bomber), Tecsun PL-600, Tecsun PL-880, Zenith 5S320, Realistic DX 160 using 40 feet of copper wire.  With apologies to Senator Gramm for his thoughts on firearms, "I have more radios than I need but not as many as I want."
