Took a break from 10/11 meters and checked 12M, worked 5T5PA Mauritania (Africa) @18:27 on 24.955 Mhz
100 watts into a low dipole.

Rarely have I heard much of anything on 12m in recent years, but there was actual activity today. CW, FT8, PSK, and even a few SSB operators.

Good deal. Definitely not my go-to band, but I have worked some DX on 12 over the years. I actually worked the Galápagos Islands on CW about 14 years ago. Like I said if things are good on 10M, it's worth a check.
