I can still hear them with big band style music, but they are way down in the noise. Maybe S-3... lots of static and high noise floor.
Kenwood R-1000 and a 65' longwire... also an Icom 720a, hell of a receiver...  portable is a Sony ICF6500W, one of the best portables ever built...and various Trans-O's, Strato-worlds, etc...
