11/10/75 Edmund Fitzgerald sinks/goes missing in Lake Superior leaving 29 missing/dead.
I don't recall the Memorial broadcast being on in 2020....but it did recently appear in at least 2009, 2010, 2011, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019.
Hopefully this year.  As early as 1440z and as late as 0420z - and as early as 11/9 and as late as 11/12.  On USB and AM - 5150khz - 6950khz (typically and recently 6875khz-6950khz).
Time will tell.

In an eerie parallel, I stayed 10 weeks this summer in a California AirBNB which was furnished but no TV, nor reading material.  Early in my stay there to assist family, I took a walk in the neighborhood and noticed someone had left a pile of magazines outside their home free for the taking.  Included in the stack was an April 1959 National Geographic, I grabbed it for eventual reading.  In the National Geographic was an article about commerce on the Great Lakes. On the fourth page of the story was a picture and several paragraph narrative of the brand spanking new Edmund Fitzgerald, crowned the Flagship of the iron ore fleet.  Quite an unsettling read knowing the ship's fate.

Thanks for the heads up about a potential broadcast!

Hopefully the op will broadcast, and at a time that favors greater propagation (after sunset, guys, after sunset if you're on 43m. Sunspots are back so you don't need to worry about skip zones so much.)

Too bad that it sounds like SS Edmund Fitzgerald Radio didn't make an appearance this year. I understand that in previous transmissions the station broadcast the names of the 29 souls lost on that day in 1975. I hope we can hear them again next year.
All reception from this location, radio and antenna.

They weren't on last year either. I fear that it may not return, but I hope I'm wrong.

Several of the seasonal pirates have not been heard recently. I don't think Radio Paisano was on this year?

Speaking of seasonal pirates... it's been a while since I've heard WJFK, and today is Nov 22nd.
