I live a few miles from Cape Kennedy and even watched the Shuttle take off on Sunday evening.  If you've never seen it, IT IS AWESOME!  The best list I've found and found it to be accurate is:

All of these freqs are good, as I used them as recently as 2 days ago.  I sat in a campground right across from Merrit Island and watched it go!!  If you have a chance to watch the Shuttle take off, jump on it, absolutely awesome!

I used to have friend who drove down every time it went up. Watching the event's of '86 ended those trips.

86 was a bummer!  But it hasn't slowed any of the locals.  The traffic on RT50 going into Titusville is backed up for 6 miles for hours before the blast off.  It is worse than any NY traffic jam.
