I copied Prescott, ON this morning at 1313z. Not nearly as exciting as Greenland, but I was happy because I finally tracked down the source of a giant S9 QRM signal right smack on 518 kHz. The bad news is that it is the Pride of China power supply for my 10 MHz GPS reference. So it looks like I'll need to find another one to use.

Looks like the furthest was San Juan at 2,038 miles.  I haven't caught Greenland yet.

Haven't tried for PR yet. Was going to let it run overnight last night with the loop N-S, but there was some QRM blasting away on LW & into the lower part of MW making copying anything on 518 impossible. Pride of China.    Too funny... I'm going to steal that.

Looks like things are relatively calm for the QRM tonight, so will leave the antenna NNW-SSE and see what comes up.

So far after only a few minutes of listening, got New Orleans (G) and Prescott, ON (H) with 100%. Both are S8-S9. Although, Prescott is just down the road a piece (relatively speaking), so big deal. Wish they could send some poutine on 518.

Last night heard San Juan (R), Portsmouth (N), Sept-Iles (C), New Orleans (G), Prescott (H), and Thunder Bay (P).

Tonight will try NW-SE and see if Bermuda comes in.

Got Bermuda (4B) early this morning, as well as Prescott (4H), Cambria (12Q), Thunder Bay (4P), New Orleans (4G), San Juan (4R), Portsmouth (4N), Tofino (12H), Sept-Isles (4C), and Miami (4A).

This was with the antenna NE-SW (roughly 30-210 deg).

Tuned to 490 around 03Z and picked up several messages from Sydney (4J). Not overly strong, but good enough.

NMW Astoria, Oregon in the overnight logs, a new one for me.  Good copy between 0750-0810 with several short messages.  I'm amazed how well these stations get out.  Anyone know what kind of power they put out?

Good question.

Tried to look it up, but not much found. Came somewhat close-ish on p10, which suggests 100-1kW depending on range desired.

Nice little chart at the end showing their pattern. Pointed away from here, so now I have to try to get them.

Unless there's a list floating around, perhaps its time to send off a bunch of reception reports and see if they stick it on there.  Planning on doing that myself. Need to sort & assemble a useful list of stations for sending reports, then find their addresses.
