Radio Olah 6930 AM 2003 UTC 16 Jan 2022
« on: January 16, 2022, 2003 UTC »
2003 UTC Music of indeterminate genre right at the noise floor, fading in and out
2009 UTC Sounds like a cover of "Sukiyaki" by OM singer, or maybe the original version by Kyu Sakamoto?
2011 UTC Different song, but too low in the noise...maybe a big band swing tune?
2014 UTC OM DJ chat now with "Olah"....yep, a clear ID as Radio Olah!  8)
2015 UTC Different song now (Signal jumped up to S6 during the song....60's sounding rock tune I forgot the name of)
2021 UTC OM DJ chat with ID and mention of Sunday afternoon....let's play some more music....hope you're feeling good....
2026 UTC "Over Under Sideways Down"-Yardbirds  :)
2029 UTC OM DJ with ID and live time check...here's the Flamin Groovies on Radio Olah
2032 UTC Local RFI just wiped out 43 meters for me  >:(

Thanks for adding some excitement to an otherwise boring afternoon Radio Olah!
Here's my recording of the show from 2003-2035 UTC...the last 3 minutes are the sound of a neighbors ganja grow operation cheapo Chinesium lighting ballast turning on....

I have it no better than anyone else.  The carrier is present with weak audio.  Poor signal.  OM talking now, 2014.

DJ said it's really cold in the valley today. Said hasn't been on the air because he's been really reclusive for the past two years. Into a song by the Flaming Groovies. Excellent signal

Caught the very end of the broadcast with a live announcement and ‘Let’s stick together’. ….

Weak but decent. 34+3 in south central lower Michigan.
DXing *either* from:
MI -- South Central Lower Michigan with a 25 m randomwire and a LOT of local noise!
or
MI2 -- the tip of Michigan's Thumb with a 100 metre longwire and much quieter conditions.  Radios can be either an SPR-4 or IC-R71A or SDRplay

QSLs appreciated! radioguy73@gmail.com
