Please keep checking for rumors!

It's back!

Confirmed tonight when tuning around with my 7600GR and also confirmed on the Pahrump/Radio Ranch kiwi SDR with strong audio, slightly quiet but there on W7RNA kiwi (must be on the null side of the loop), and even heard it through the noise of the garbage NO1D kiwi.

Not every night a mission starts off successful right when I turn on the radio. I'll have a look around more remote nodes and global tuners. Someone should update the wiki list since I don't know how to get in it.

edit: Also strong on the Utah TCI-530 despite the pink noise. Same 10 second interval.

I have not heard A at home in a while. Just now I heard it on the KPH kiwi. KFS kiwis are infested with ham whisperbots and mostly unavailable these days

Well, heck! Since the sun is rising here in SoCal I thought I'd check one more time on my radios and now I can faintly hear the Morse letter A! Finally!

Mark I have been checking for it every evening here when it is generally strong. I have not heard it recently either.

"A" has reappeared this evening. Seems weaker than I usually have it, weak but with minimal fading. 2097.29 KHz 23NOV23 04:50z Airspy HF+ Discovery 60ft SE/NW longwire

No joy on A for some time now once again. Hopefully it will return again from this hiatus. 2097.29 KHz 09DEC23 04:58z Airspy HF+ Discovery 60ft SE/NW longwire

The A beacon has been quite elusive of late. I am catching a glimpse of it with a very weak signal audible now and then this evening. Was doubting myself as to if I am really hearing it but it just faded up a bit and was for sure there audibly and visible in the waterfall for about three passes before fading out again. 2097.29 KHz 31DEC23 05:27z Airspy HF+ Discovery 60ft SE/NW longwire

I've had the same issue, I just figured it was the propagation from getting closer to maximum but I'm still getting other signals on similar frequency range pretty much the same. When I was hearing it it was usually in the evening when that part of the band started to open up as the sunset but then as it grew deeper into the night the signal would get lower.

Wonder if it switched to solar power or something then the battery died and won't hold charge anymore.
