X-FM 6285.0 kHz AM 02:35 UTC 10 JULY 2022

02:08 UTC - Low power carrier only observed then off;
02:35 UTC - Weak, barely readable, S7 ~ S8, with music;
05:00 UTC - Still going on strong.

Thank you for still putting on the show despite the microphone conundrum.

Listening via the Weiser, Idaho, SDR since 0252 UTC; before that, I was listening via the Northern Utah SDR ...

0235 UTC: Heard the electronic "warm-up" music starting. So far, I can only hear a carrier signal on my own radio here near Seattle.
0240 UTC: Spoken word soundbite. Heard to hear it, though. Then song "No Control" by Pepper.
0243 UTC: Redhat cracks open the mic, says he forgot his good one. Not bad sound for a $25 mic, Redhat!
0249 UTC: HFU shout-outs from Redhat.
0252 UTC: "Before I Die" by Papa Roach after a canned ID.
0257 UTC: "What You Know" by Two Door Cinema Club (love that song!), then a canned ID followed by "Move in the Right Direction" by Gossip.
0304 UTC: Redhat back on the mic, reviewing the just-played songs and giving a time check. Then talking about music, cellphones, reception conditions, shout-out to HFU posters.
0310 UTC: Canned ID, then "Wild" by Spoon (also love that song).
0313 UTC: Canned ID, then "Shot in the Dark" by AC/DC.
0316 UTC: Played request for "Brimful of Asha" by Cornershop (also a great song!).
0322 UTC: "Chaise Longue" by Wet Leg (my favorite song of 2021!). Thanks, Redhat, for playing the request.
0325 UTC: Redhat on the mic reviewing the last few songs played and talking about his mic again. Also, shout-outs to latest HFU posters.
0330 UTC: "How Not to Drown" by CHVRCHES and Robert Smith.
0335 UTC: Canned ID, then "Lay Down" by Alberta Cross.
* * * *
0412 UTC: I've been listening on and off the past ~40 minutes via the Idaho SDR, but I just checked my own radio out here near Seattle again and I can hear audio, albeit just barely, in SSB on my radio as sunset takes over here. I also can hear the carrier in AM mode.
0450 UTC: Checked again and I can now hear snippets of audio at the peaks in AM mode on my home radio here.

Thanks for the broadcast, Redhat!

No that wasn’t me that requested that. Around 0343 UTC you were trying to figure out who requested one of the songs and you said it was me.

I was listening around 0430 UTC from my own QTH with my 11 meter dipole (I don’t have a very good antenna or location for shortwave listening) and I could just barely hear some audio.

That $25 mic sounds pretty bad. Just checked at 0330 UTC and Radio Pushka is indeed still going. They have been going non-stop since last night.

Songs are identified with Shazam if needed. I usually use KiwiSDR receivers. Reception from my QTH is using a Kenwood TS-570D or RTL-SDR V3 with a 40 meter band Inverted V at 50 feet.

0246  Redhat talking about a variety of things, 0252 ID, "music to the power of X", canned ID, "Before I die" - Papa Roach, ID sequence, "What you know" - Two door cinema club

Would be fair except for waves of QRN unfortunately making the signal difficult to listen to.

0237 Reload by PPK into No Control by Pepper at 0240. At 0243, Redhat apologizing for the bad mic sound. He forgot it and bought a CB truckers mic and soldered it into the XLR connector. Great ingenuity dude! RH talking about new music on the agenda and gave email, xfmshortwave@gmail.com. Papa Roach at 0252, then ID at 0300 and into Move Into the Right Direction by Gossip. How about a request for some AC/DC my friend. Thanks for the show this evening Redhat! Looking forward to it!
