It mainly focuses on unusual talk programs (stories, both fiction and non-fiction) but occasionally plays music. The host is Dr. Evan Alexander and he claims the station uses a 1000 watt homebrew transmitter in the Pacific Ocean. The actual power is seen on one QSL and it is 5 watts. It uses frequencies in the 43 meter band in AM or occasionally USB mode. While almost certainly not broadcasting from the Ocean, Solar Centric is located on the West Coast of North America. Broadcasts are often around the Solstice. Solar Centric does sometimes QSL by postal (in response to emails), but contact information is not currently known. [[Category: Pirate radio stations]]
