The graveyard MW stations are those on frequencies of 1230, 1240, 1340, 1400, 1450, and 1490 kHz. These stations transmit with a power of 1000 watts day and night. At night dozens of carriers can be heard at any time on each of the frequencies. There is a subset of the DXing community that specializes in these frequencies, due to the numerous stations that can be heard as they fade in and out, often within minutes or even seconds of each other.
