CKRX was the shortwave relay of CKRC Winnipeg, Manitoba (630 kHz) , a former station of the CBC Dominion Network1 It operated on 11720 kHz.2

CKRC after the demise of the CBC Dominion Network in 1962 became a top 40 rock station in the later 1960s. CKRC flipped to the country music format before going to the FM dial with new call letters CFWM-FM.,3
