Fred Jodry[1], KA2PYQ, is notable for being the only person to date to have ever attempted to put on a shortwave radio show with the infamous Bozo.

In September 2006, it was announced that Fred and Bozo were to co-host a radio show on WBCQ called "Fix Your Radio." However, just prior to the show's initial (and as it would turn out, only) broadcast, Fred announced that Bozo had "dropped out" of the show after directing some comments of a personal nature his way[2]:

"20 hours before the show, I had to turn Jay down on a lazy, sexy offer. Terrible."

During the radio broadcast[3], Bozo repeatedly attempted to break into the telephone line Fred was using to feed the show to WBCQ, but to no avail. Sound bytes from this episode ended up in the pirate community rather quickly and became the inspiration for Voice of Bozo and other pirate radio shows.

Several weeks after the "Fix Your Radio" fiasco, Bozo commented on Allan Weiner's radio show that Fred was "some kind of a homophobe."

Fred is also known for having attempted to become an FCC Commissioner[4], and for operating a boot on 75 meters.

Curiously enough, there seems to be a certain Jamba about Fred. Multiple individuals have noted that manipulating recordings of Fred's voice has been shown to repeatedly crash and corrupt software as varied as Adobe Audition, Sound Forge, and Cool Edit Pro.
