Travelers' Information Stations (TIS), also sometimes called highway advisory radio stations, are low power (typically 10 watt) AM stations licensed to government agencies. They can operate anywhere in the 530-1710 kHz AM band, but most operate on the expanded AM band, 1610-1700 kHz.

Only three TIS stations operate on 1710 kHz.

TIS/HAR stations provide tourist information, as well as traffic and emergency information.

The FCC has a search page for TIS stations: https://www.fcc.gov/media/radio/travelers-information-stations-search
