A trailer is home to many shortwave listeners, such as Al Fansome. Trailers are also used by SWLs, amateur radio operators, and shortwave broadcasters for a variety of purposes, including but not limited to:

  • Storing massive quantities of old buzzard transmitters, parts, and other bizarre technical equipment
  • Housing complete broadcast studio facilities (e.g. Timtron, WBCQ)
  • Providing privacy barriers against pesky neighbors, police, and FCC agents
