The Shortwave Listeners' Winterfest bills itself as the largest gathering of radio listeners in the world. It is held annually in the spring, in Kulpsville Pennsylvania, near Philadelphia. In addition to those involved in "normal" radio pursuits, such as utility, broadcast, and scanner listening, it attracts a sizeable contingent of Pirate Radio operators, DXers, and others interested in the hobby of Pirate Radio.
