Germany Calling is the name of a pirate station first noted on October 30, 2010 around 2300 UTC. It appeared on 6939.9 KHz in the AM mode, and was widely reported with a strong signal and good quality audio. The station features an interval signal based on Lord Haw Haw's "Germany Calling" program from the Nazi Germany era. Programming consists entirely of vintage swing and march songs that have something to do with Germany. The operator of the station apparently does not speak, but a computerized voice performs identifications and announces an email address of germanycalling@gmail.com. The operator responds with e-QSL cards and some basic station information, using the name William Joyce.
