KNBS - Cannibis Radio was a shortwave pirate station active in the 1980s and 1990s. KNBS used the
Belfast and
Battle Creek maildrops. The station was operated by the "California Marijuana Cooperative," promoted the legalization and use of marijuana, and featured marijuana-related music, public service announcements, and comedy bits. A 1995 classic broadcast called "The Joint" was a collaboration between KNBS and the similar themed
Radio Free Euphoria [1].
