Mystery Science Radio appeared in the early 2000s on numerous shortwave frequencies and was heard in the US and in Europe. The station was originally an homage to the television series Mystery Science Theater 3000 and hosted by Cherokee Jack and his sidekick Torgo (from the cult film Manos Hands of Fate). Later broadcasts also included tributes to Monty Python and Andy Kaufman.
