The Voice of Venus was a shortwave pirate radio station active from 1978 to well into the 1980s. They used the Moorhead, MN maildrop. The DJ was Scott Wild, and the station professed libertarian politics and played new wave music. The QSL the station was issuing circa 1984 featured a Bloom County comic strip and a statement that "we feel there should be provisions for a minimally regulated, non-commercial bc'ing service. if such a service is established, the Voice of Venus would seek to operate there."
