S8 and good audio @ 0105 with "Vacation" by the Go-Go's
and a collage of Go-Go songs.
Briefly off, then "We Got the Beat", with a little audio glitch at the beginning.
"Hey Leroy, Your Mama's Calling You" by Jimmy Castor @ 0113.
"Gimme Your Money Please" by BTO @ 0115.  Up to S9 and nice, solid audio!
XLR8 ID @ 0119.
Thanks for the show.

6950 USB
0107z: Not sure if fluttery/fadey propagation or transmitter problems, but I'm hearing Go-Go's intermittently.  Was hearing similar rapidly fluttering propagation on WWV 20 MHz a little while ago, so maybe it's just weird conditions.
0111z: Sudden improvement in propagation, some steel drum calypso-ish music.
0114z: BTO "Gimme Your Money Please"
0119z: XLR8 ID - Good signal
0120z: The Fixx - Commies at Nacht
0130z: Some version of War Pigs, loud enough to copy from other room.
0143z: Faded to just audible again.  Screwy propagation.
0159z: Oly got his request - Van Halen "Running With the Devil", and the signal strength is back up.
0204z: Flamin' Groovies version of "Louie Louie". Baby, we gotta go.  Got subpoenaed by congress.
0214z: XLR8 ID, The Bongos - Glow in the Dark.  I think I've heard XLR8 play this one before.  New to me, but recognized it after only one previous hearing.
0315z: Gregg Allman "Midnight Rider"
0319z: XLR8 ID, April Wine "Say Hello".
0322z: Cover of "Taxman" (Shazam sez Black Oak Arkansas - I shoulda recognized Jim Dandy's vocals)
0344z: Third Eye Blind "Graduate"
0355z: Off or faded out.  Funky propagation tonight, from S-nothing to S9.
0419z: May still be there, but only occasionally audible, just barely.  Weird conditions.

Fair signal into eastern Nebraska tonight on 6950 USB.  Caught songs "The Harder They Are, the Harder They Fall" and, I think, "War Pigs."
Just a boy with his radio and some wire.

Aww, yeeah, after a long day's driving and LAX airport stress, I hear some XLR8,
ID at 0321, heard pretty good over the lightning.

EDIT:
Dear XLR8,
Would you be so kind as to play something from Aphex Twin?
Sincerely,
Antennae

EDIT EDIT:
0412utc, Aphex Twin.  Aww, Yeeah.  Thanx!
0428utc, a solid stretch of Aphex Twin (I assume), stuff I hadn't heard before. Pleasant.
0428utc, now back some weird-ass XLR8 stuff, but weird-ass in a good way.

0444utc, I Want Candy
