RTTY on USAF EAM FREQ 15016kHz
« on: September 24, 2025, 1352 UTC »
For the past few days, I have been hearing RTTY on 15016kHz. Starts about 1330 UTC and lasts all day. When an EAM is transmitted, it is over the RTTY signal. I use the UDXF Frequency Listing and all I see there is an Antarctic research station called Orcadas Station that transmits RTTY on that frequency, but I have my doubts that they are the one who would be transmitting. I have checked various SDRs in the US and it seems stronger in the northern part of North America, can't be heard in South America, but can be heard in Europe. Very strong on a SDR in Spain, 0-32 MHz SDR VISEU PORTUGAL PICAMIOLOS

Any ideas?

Hi.

I bet, you are receiving in USB? So most likely the CF is 15018,0 kHz. That would insist you have heard Ny Norfolk, VA - TX Barford St. John (G) (->52.003948, -1.360385)

Signal type is STANAG4481 with 75 Bd and 850 Hz shift

Hope this helps.
