Pulsing Buzzer on 7487
« on: August 29, 2015, 0319 UTC »
So over the past several months, myself and a couple of others have been trying to work out what a strange pulsing signal was, I think we have finally come to a conclusion, it's an artifact/harmonic of the Radio Marti jammer, tonight Marti is on 7405 with a nice heavy duty jammer going on, just up the band at 7478 & 7482 you will hear the buzzing/pulsing, at first we thought it was a "newish" data mode, but after watching it closely, it appears just up the band from Marti everytime it gets jammed... on 7Mhz/9mhz/11Mhz & 13Mhz......case closed I think...

See this post, Paul. http://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,20750.0.html
It appears you're hearing the same as I did.

Will "normalized" relations with Cuba eliminate this jamming?

Methinks not.

Yes, this is a spur of some kind from the Cuban jammer.  It is not new, I have recordings of this signal going back at least 5 or 6 years and it was around before then.

I have moved this report into the "Other" section, since it is not a mystery.
