What rub did you use and what did you use for smoking it?
At the moment, I'm planning on using a rub based on:
- freshly ground black pepper. Maybe also white and/or green peppercorns.
- kosher salt (maybe mixed with a bit of celery salt)
- paprika
- garlic powder (or minced garlic)
- onion powder
- chili powder
- brown sugar
I have a Traeger pellet grill and planning on using oak, cherry, and pecan (3:3:1 ratio, although I'm critically low on cherry). I used that mix last week on some baby back ribs.
