Who was the guy who broadcast nightly on 3885 in AM about 20 years ago? He took calls and interviewed people, he'd even give his call sign. He said his mission was to save the AM window for hams. He did his part by hogging it every evening for months.

Huh... Tried listening to 75M AM at stupid oīclock at night, but even on the W.O.G. Antenna, I still get an earful of lightning crashes. A couple of īSī units in LSB, but much more in AM. Web Kiwi-SDRīs maybe the way-duh-go until like mid-October, or November. However, what activity I was hearing was on 3873kHz, so it makes me wonder if they were trying to keep away from 3885.
The best two statements of advice that I've ever gotten are from my brother-in-law in the early 1990's. 1st one, when I bought a used '89 Olds Cutless, my bro-in-law said, "Congratulations!!! You've just bought a deficit!". The other, was on a work environment, " No matter where you go, it's going to be f***'ed -up!". No truer words have been spoken.
