Maker's Mark is Kentucky's best. Fermented in wood, distilled in pot stills, and aged in charred oak barrels. You can drive up for a distillery tour any day of the week. One warning, the folks that own the place have signs up to get you to the place that take you on the most indirect route possible. Then you find out it's a dry county and you can't buy the stuff on the premises!

Jack Daniels is the same way, dry county, can't buy it on the premises. I blame the Baptists that infest that part the country. You can make it and profit from it, but don't try to drink it, that's a sin.
