BBC War Service off 15740?
« on: October 14, 2022, 1417 UTC »

I have checked periodically for BBC's Russia/Ukraine War English service broadcast on 15740 am 1400-1500 utc.  Today (1415 utc, 14 Oct 2022), no reception on the PL 880, nor was there reception on SDR's in Milford, PA or U/Twente in The Netherlands.  The BBC frequency chart still shows it as active, although I have only received it in the 1400 utc hour and not the two hours listed.

The BBC Frequency link no longer shows the service to Eastern Europe for war coverage.  Perhaps this is the first step in the inevitable terrestrial broadcast reductions.  They certainly curtailed service with a lot less fanfare then commencing.
