WJHR on 15555 KHZ USB  @ 16:10 with the usual preacher creature yelling about  how (get this)its ok to fail in life cuz Reggie Jackson struck out over 2500 times "and he's in the Hall of Fame"!

Well, that's not such a negative message compared to some of the stuff you sometimes hear from these guys. Doesn't Nolan Ryan own the "most home runs given up" record along with the most strikeouts and no hitters tossed?

When I was a kid that parable involved Babe Ruth. Same old BS, just a new example for the religious and motivational speaking hucksters. Lou Holtz probably made more money doing that kind of stuff in the off season than he did as a football coach until he hit Notre Dame. He had a nice little magic act to go with it to keep you from nodding off. Positive thinking, ya know.

The best ones are the "Seed Money Preachers". The more money you send them, the more money God will give you. If you're lucky they'll send you a prayer cloth prayed over by the Rev. himself. If you pray over it when you get it, all sorts of good things will happen to you and yours. If it doesn't, you didn't have enough faith, and no, you're not getting your money back. Nothing like a seed ministry, and it's all tax free.
