0137 UTC I have a solid carrier with bits and pieces of sounds.
0139 UTC Hearing some electronic keyboard music now....QRM bleeding onto the frequency from 6933 USB
0141 UTC Now some kind of noise blob QRM
0142 UTC Hearing "In the Court of the Crimson King"-King Crimson  8)
(Getting a lot of splatter from Zeke on 6933 USB)
0148 UTC Signal dropped down...carrier but not hearing audio. Frequency seems to be on the upper side of 6937
0151 UTC Carrier now solid on 6939.5 AM but no audio heard yet
0157 UTC Carrier only still
0203 UTC Music! Weak, but sounds like "20th Century Schizoid Man"-King Crimson
0210 UTC Possibly "Talk to the Wind"-King Crimson
0217 UTC Possibly "Epitaph"-King Crimson
0224 UTC OFF

Thanks UNID!  :) Here's what the last 20 minutes of my reception sounded like:

0219z "Epitaph" Greg Lake singing with King Crimson or ELP? Fair to good via eastern and Utah SDRs. Nothing via home rx.
0225z off after Epitaph
0233z steady hum on same freq, like ground loop hum or something similar, maybe tech issues

Don't assume proximity by signal on HF.

I had an op give me a call to tell me he was on the air, he lived about 500 miles away. I turned the radio on and he had a window rattling signal. I figured he was traveling and parked in my driveway as a joke. I actually took a walk around w/ a portable to see if I could spot him. The signal dropped as I was heading back to the house. I called him up and asked where he was, he said, "At home." I had him call me back on the landline as I didn't buy it and wanted to check the caller ID. Sure enough, he was at home, said he was  running about 50 watts of AM power. I'd have sworn he was in my driveway. Everything was set up for me to be under his first hop and man was he blasting in while it lasted.

Very true, winter conditions make trying to estimate a stations location difficult (the band goes long and the signal is heard well in weird locations). The station operator has said that the Northeast is "pretty far from here, wherever here is". He is very strong on my receiver at home as well. I don't want to say anymore publicly though, we are not really supposed to speculate too much about stations locations here.

Songs are identified with Shazam if needed. I usually use KiwiSDR receivers. Reception from my QTH is using an SDRPlay RSP1A for SWL with a 40 meter band Inverted V at 40 feet. Kenwood TS-570D for ham use.
