Class-E maximum Pout with given supply voltage
« on: September 16, 2026, 1419 UTC »
Hi!
Im trying to figure out different methods to boost output power of my class-E transmitter. It is single ended using IRF530 (or two in parallel).
Carrier power is around 40Watts and PEP is 150Watts at full 32Volt modulation voltage.
So if I want to get 200-250W pep (more RF output voltage), only way is to use step-up matching transformer?
No matter how I adjust the values of standard pi-network parts, cant get more than 150-160W max.

Edit: I recalculated the whole output network. Now I get over 200Watts PEP @ 30VDC input.
