Surprisingly good reception here, English service

1212 OM "CHU Canada Coordinated Universal Time....twelve hours and twelve minutes..."

In addition, the digital time code from CHU is comparatively simple to decode. That "screeching" sound that you hear between the 31st and 39th seconds past the minute is nothing more than a Bell 103 compatible 300 baud modem formatted FSK signal.

You can decode the CHU digital time code using a KiwiSDR. Select the FSK mode from the Extension pull-down menu then select one of the CHU frequencies under the Ham/Utility pull-down menu.

The "clock" module in MultiPSK will decode various time formats as received via an SDR or external receiver's audio to sound card input.

I have not found any free applications which can decode the time code from various providers. According to the various Sorcerer documentation that I have seen that application should decode time signals but I have not been able to figure out how to.
