eQSL cards - is there a standard image size/format?
« on: November 15, 2023, 1634 UTC »
I am interested in designing an eQSL card for somebody if that is possible.

Are there image size in pixels or file size defaults for these images?

Thanks.

Not really. The bigger the better IMO.

Songs are identified with Shazam if needed. I usually use KiwiSDR receivers. Reception from my QTH is using a Hermes Lite 2 with a 40 meter band Inverted V at 40 feet.

I personally am in favour of keeping to the QSL standard, let it be print or eQSL.

The standard QSL size is 140 x 90 mm or 5.5 x 3.5 inches. This translate to 397 x 255 pixels at 72 DPI or 529 x 340 at 96 DPI. 72 DPI is the standard screen resolution and is also considered the standard for the web.

> My pick would be 529 x 340 at 96 DPI which will give ample resolution and is 100% scaling, I.E. a 96 DPI setting equals a DIP (device-independent pixel) size of 1 pixel. A DIP is defined as 1/96th of a logical inch.

Thank to you both.  @Shortwave_Listener I agree about bigger being better. But also @~SIGINT~ has a good point about the standard size. Thanks guys.
