Cuba Jammers

Don't know if this belongs here but Cuba has started jamming two new frequencies out of the normal HF bands. 7943kHz and 7954kHz. It's definitely Cuba as it's strongest near the Florida Kiwis.

EDIT. As I just sent it they turned off on those two frequencies

I wonder if thats the jammy jam jammer masheen having a little spread spectrum action, because that's not the ham or broadcast band.

Cubas jammers are sometimes just short of running amuck. I caught them the other night on 9565, 4 hours AFTER Marti had signed off that frequency.. still pulsing away.

Given electricity shortages in Cuba it's surprising they would waste energy jamming what's not even there....or why they'd bother jamming at all given the impossibility of blocking the whole MW band.

youd be surprised... ive heard them jamming stuff that signed off hours ago or that change frequency days/weeks ago and in some cases, jamming themselves.. its been going on for years

One time, cuba used the same frequency later in the day as Marti did, 11860......  and i heard their jammer on 11860 when cuba was running regular programming and marti had signed off

Technically they could with a bunch of AM stations... Like they do on 1180
