KZEE 1220 AM "Asian Hot Pepper" Weatherford TX
« on: July 12, 2009, 1436 UTC »
7/12/09 - 1220 AM, KZEE, "Asian Hot Pepper" located in Weatherford, Texas, less than 50 miles to my west, has been audible very late at night and during the wee hours, with mostly rhythmic Indian pop music.  Unusual, unless they have increased power.  During the winter and until fairly recently they were inaudible at night - at the time I think they powered down to less than 50 watts.  The current info states they're now using 200 watts at night, which may be why I'm able to hear them now after dark.  As usual, the audio sounds bassy and a bit muffled, but less overmodulated than in the past.
