Let me guess there were some thunderstorm with strong lightning around Warszawa?

It has been reported several times in the past that Family III (E11, S11a and also fromer G11) ceases transmissions if the weather is that rough.

    Hello  I know there was stormy weather in that area, but I didn't check it on the precipitation radar.
 If this was the cause of the interruption, there must have been some serious damage to the transmitting system. They have several systems of antennas and probably transmitters, as well as power generators.
However, this several-hour break in broadcasting is strange!

No, why? They have grounded all antennas and switched off their transmitters - to PREVENT or AVOID any damage. Simple as that.

You're right, Thomas. I can't sleep and today was another horror day for SWL.
Today, between 0600 and 1000 UTC, a storm front passed over the TX area again.
There is no point in writing details, but there was no transmission of the E11 and S11a groups during the hours I observed from 0600 to 1715 UTC.
- Checked at me, Kiwi direct, NL, FR Alps,PT.
